This event, Nomadic Art Market, is a virtual and in person art market curated by artist Kayla Burnett which will showcase numerous artists from the Gainesville community, sharing and selling their work. This market is a movement based on Black Cube: a nomadic contemporary art museum. The premise is to combine multiple individuals and community spaces that art exists within Gainesville, FL. This is an experiment to question the functionality, and engagement of art inside and outside of institutional spaces.

WATCH OPENING

Work will be available to see and purchase through 4Most online platforms and physically within the gallery. Visitors are welcome to stop by during market hours. 2 visitors at a time, masks required. All proceeds will go directly to the artists. All proceeds will go directly to the artists.

”As artist’s we are all capable of pushing boundaries, bridging gaps to social world's, and re-defining value in what we make. Therefore, creating an environment of a pop-up market within a gallery space, is a purposefully transactional experience. One that is to question the functionality and engagement of art, craft, and fashion in online and physical spaces. The intention for this pop-up market is to experiment with combining these multiple art spaces, experiences, and communities within Gainesville, Florida. 

Something to ponder is: How do we make art more accessible, useful, and meaningful to community?"“
